Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing delicious coffee and other beverages. Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using a POS system (e.g., Aloha POS)
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including equipment, utensils, and supplies
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
- Uphold company policies and procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food industry or customer service is preferred
- Familiarity with operating a cash register or POS system (e.g., Aloha POS)
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in preparing beverages
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
- Knowledge of food service regulations and safety standards is a plus
