POSITION SUMMARY
Rehab Technicians provide assistance to all health care providers. They obtain patient information, perform rehab modalities under supervision, and manage patient flow. This role is vital to the patient experience at Gonstead Physical
Medicine.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
● Obtaining patients' personal information and updating medical histories.
● Assisting patients to reach examination and treatment rooms.
● Conducting initial and re-exam assessments and basic diagnostic tests.
● Performing treatments under the direct supervision of other healthcare professionals such as Spinal decompression, Red Light therapy, Hyperbaric
Oxygen therapy, Myofascial Acoustic Shockwave therapy, Proteus and Kinotek exam software and electric muscle stimulation.
● Supporting rehab professionals with complicated treatments, as well as assisting patients with physical activities.
● Maintaining and updating patient records.
● Managing patient mobility within the facility, as well as transportation to off-site appointments.
● Sterilizing therapeutic equipment and ensuring that facilities are kept clean and tidy.
● Safely disposing of hazardous waste and soiled materials.

● Strong computer skills and highly proficient in MS Office Suite, Windows, and
Google Suite
● Develop effective relationships with patients to better serve them, adjusting care plans based on patient feedback
● Experience successfully maintaining a positive attitude while working in a team environment with competing priorities
● Ability to think critically, assessing health data to help patients achieve health goals
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to problem solve while Interacting with patients
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● High school diploma or GED.
● CPR certification will be advantageous.
● Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
● Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software.
● Experience in obtaining patient information and performing basic assessments.
● Knowledge of physical therapy techniques, treatments, and equipment.
● Advanced ability to manage patient mobility and transportation needs.
● Ability to maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment in line with regulations.
● Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, as well as a caring nature.
● Physically fit to assist immobile, injured, and frail patients.
● Safely disposing of hazardous waste and soiled materials.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
● Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
