General Summary
Roofers will install all the Tiles and metal on the Roof including the SolarTiles. Roofers will test and document strings with pics. Keep the Roof installation moving smoothly and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in staging and Loading materials to the Roof.
- Set all chalk lines and Feet.
- Install all Roofing Tiles including Solar
- Install and fabricate all flashings.
- Tear off and Dry in
- Check BOM for missing or needed parts.
- Print and organize MP string diagrams.
- Make clear legible color-coded field diagrams for the Roofing crew.
- Once Materials are delivered to the Jobsite, inventory everything. Remove boxes from pallets, and stack them on shelving provided for easy access. Cross-check parts with BOM, -Immediately order any missing parts.
- Supervised staging of materials, MPs should be planned out the day prior to start. -Materials should be staged either on racks on the roof or directly below MPs on the ground. Material staging locations are determined by Roofing Crew Lead.
- Jumpers and Trunk harnesses pre-made and/or labeled for each MP prior to the start of the Job.
- The PV lead should supervise the Solar tiles' stringing to ensure proper wiring.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, It is everyone's responsibility to pick up trash daily including the Solar Lead.
- For efficiency, Roofers should install all the Tiles and metal on the Roof including the SolarTiles. Roofers will test and document strings with pics. PV lead will ensure roofers have the part available when Roofers are ready to install in order to keep the project moving smoothly. PV lead will not need to Set Chalk lines or Nail tiles.
- Once MPs are in progress, the PV lead should focus on the organization and cleanliness of the job site. Planning the next day's MP install, and staging needed materials in designated locations.
- Pre-plan - Solar String diagram should be planned and diagramed prior to the start of Install.
- Start of Project- Meet with the owner of the property, identify any concerns, and discuss with the property owner; the project plans, and how any last-minute concerns will be addressed.
- Safety Check-. help to ensure all Tesla and Good Faith Energy safety standards are followed by the roofing crew
- Solar Tile Installation- Roof installation will be done by the Roofing Crew. Solar Lead tasked with supervising and setting up the jumper and home run wiring. Directing what mounting plans have solar and quantity. Supervise testing and document as strings are installed.
- Parts Running- Communicate with the Roofing crew daily, help determine when parts are needed throughout the project; locate and deliver as needed.
- Quality Control- Inspect Roof work and provide a pic for Job Close forms for Tesla and GFE. Meet with Tesla Rep if needed to address any project issues. (Change order request, quality issues, etc.)
Property Clean Up-
Inspect, clean up, and walk around the property with the owner at completion.

Requirements
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Speak, read, and write English fluently.

- Skilled in time management and managing multiple simultaneous tasks.

- Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, transporting supplies or equipment, sitting at a desk using a lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 100 pounds.
- Position spends approximately 90% on job sites.
- Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range.
- Must be able to work on time on a regular basis during regular business hours.
- Must be available for overtime to meet project deadlines.

Education/Qualification & Experience
- Minimum Experience Required (3 years roofing, tile, metal or shingles)
- OSHA 10
- Valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or GED
