Position Summary:
The Unit Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating the delivery of skilled patient care. This position is directly accountable and responsible for the quality of care provided to patients and has the authority to direct care, provide education, seek resources at the unit/department level, and delegate appropriate tasks. The Unit Clinical Supervisor uses specialized knowledge to perform the activities of administration, supervision, delegation, and evaluation of nursing practice. This position requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills; and critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, which includes knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data. Position collaborates with patients, families, patient care team and community/regulatory agencies to ensure safe, timely, efficient, effective patient-centered quality outcomes.
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred Three or more years experience in Acute Care setting required
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Washington
BSN required
If the Unit Clinical Supervisor does not have a BSN at the time of hire. BSN must be completed within 3 years of accepting the position. Continuous enrollment in an accredited nursing program within 1 year of accepting the position.
Current Health Care Provider level CPR certification
ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC certification, as required by facility or department
Certification in specialty area required in 1 years.
