The Community Hospice RN is responsible for providing nursing care to hospice patients, residents and/or family within their home setting, focusing on symptom management and pain control. The quality of care provided will be consistent with the Standards of Practice determined for the hospice program.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of hospice concepts, philosophy, policies and procedures. Prior experience in home care, hospice and/or oncology preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate from an NLN-Accredited nursing program. Baccalaureate degree preferred.
- Current and valid NY State license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- One to two years recent general bedside nursing experience with good clinical skills.
- Must have a current, valid NY State driver's license and own transportation.
