Job Summary:
As part of the Goodstone Team, we are committed to inspiring and instilling a passion for excellence and providing you with the opportunity to excel and grow as a team player!  As an AM Chef de Partie, you are a significant part of preparing high-quality food quickly and consistently.  There will be opportunities to work in other positions if the performance is satisfactory. The Chef de Partie works as a team member in a dynamic workplace and supports the Executive Chef, Tyler Stout (EC of La Bise) and Sous Chef.  Ensures the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keeps up to date with the new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.  Your work will be essential for customer satisfaction and building customer loyalty. 
 
Essential Functions and Skills:

  • Prepares and cooks all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follows recipes, controls, portions, and presentation specifics as directed
  • Responsible for performing other related duties as assigned by the manager
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes as directed
  • Collaborates with the Sous Chef on Menu development
  • Handle, store and rotate all products properly
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work efficiently with high levels of focus
 
Preferred Education and Experience: 
  • High school or equivalent
  • A minimum of one to two years of cooking in a well-established restaurant and know food trends, quality, production, sanitation, presentation, and food cost control
  • Flexible working hours are subject to the demands of the business
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of best and latest cooking practices
  • Culinary school diploma preferred
 
Supervisory Responsibility:
  • No supervisory responsibility
