As a Shipper, your job is very important to the success of our organization! In Today’s environment many people shop from home and look forward to their purchases being delivered. You get to ensure that the customer is receiving what they purchase and it arrives in the condition that they expect.
This position requires attention to detail, and the ability to properly package items using the appropriate materials and techniques. This person also needs to be able to weigh, measure and complete paperwork along with using computerized shipping software. The ability to lift, push and pull heavy objects is also required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Run daily To Be Shipped ReportConfirm items to be shipped match the shipping report descriptions and item number.
Identify shipping carrier chosen and select appropriate size box, to ensure a safe delivery.
Pack items using proper packing techniques and using appropriate bubble wrap / packing peanuts.
Weigh completed package and note any discrepancies from weight shown on the To Be Shipped Report. Provide this information to E-commerce Manager weekly.
Run shipping labels using appropriate carrier software and attach labels to packages
Complete end of the day shipping report.
Follows all safety rules and practices.
Performs all other duties as may be assigned by the E-Commerce Specialist in the process of carrying out the mission of Goodwill Industries.

JOB PERFORMANCE
Reviewed upon initial hire at 30, 60 and 90 days, and annually thereafter by the E-Commerce Specialist.

Computer proficiency.

Previous computer experience required.
