Material Handler
Job Duties:
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, bins or trucks; Properly bales materials and donated goods; Safe operation of warehouse equipment including bales, manual hand jacks, electrical hand jacks and forklifts; Responsible for maintenance and proper storage of equipment; Report and document accidents according to procedures; Stacks or assembles materials into bundles, bands bundles together using baling equipment; Opens containers and sorts material into categories; Attaches identifying tags or labels to material or marks information on containers, bins or bales; Maintains a clean work environment responsible for daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, cleaning equipment with rags, cleaning outside trailer yard, lunch room, bathrooms and other common areas as assigned. Employment is contingent on criminal background check.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred;
- 3 months warehouse or dock experience
Hours Requirement: Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Working Conditions:
Employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, fumes and other airborne particles; Occasionally exposed to high places, risks of electrical shock or vibration; Typically works with a loud noise level.
