Position Description

This temporary job is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act.
OBJECTIVE:
This is a temporary position working within the LEAP program to perform the Data requirements for program operations for all applications received via the following: digital and PEAK applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
LEAP Program Support
The Data Clerk will attend all required training and continue to develop a thorough working knowledge of LEAP in order to support the program and other LEAP staff. The Data Clerk will obtain knowledge to assist in the processing of applications and explain eligibility criteria to applicants and agencies if necessary. The Data Clerk will also assist in contacting vendors to determine and verify emergency status of all incoming applications identifying an emergency.
LEAP Data Clerk, Tracking and Reporting
The Data (Entry) Clerk will complete data entry for all incoming applications into the LEAP master file on the state computer system daily and within the time frame allotted per LEAP Rule, two (2) days for potential emergency applications and ten (10) business days from the date of the application being received at the LEAP office so Eligibility Specialists can determine eligibility of applications, determine approval or denial of applications for LEAP benefits. Incumbent must always maintain applicant confidentiality. The Data (Verification) Clerk will enter and extract data from files and the computer system as required. In addition, the Data Clerk will extract verification of data from the following data bases; Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS), Family Support Registry (FSR), Colorado Department of Labor & Employment (CUBS), Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE), State of Colorado OIT Mainframe State Verification & Exchange System (SVES), Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS), and automated utility portals as a preliminary step for the Eligibility Specialist. The Data Clerk is responsible for aiding the Data Entry Lead, PEAK Lead, and/or Operations SUP II in tracking statistical information and with file records as needed. In addition, the Data Clerk will maintain the caseload characteristics database and assist with the maintenance of trend analysis statistics.
Relationship Management
The Data Clerk is responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive and professional relationship with all customers, vendors, clients, other LEAP staff and human services agencies and other stakeholders presenting a positive image of the company. The Data Clerk will attend meetings with Goodwill of Colorado and the Colorado Department of Human Services that are deemed necessary by the the Data Entry Lead, PEAK Lead, LEAP Managers and/or Supervisors. The Data Clerk will also perform other duties as requested by the Data Entry Lead, PEAK Lead, LEAP Managers and/or Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of two years of clerical and administrative experience in an office environment.
Other: Demonstrate proficiency in grammar, math skills, substantial computer use and ability to accurately type 30 words per minute. The incumbent must also conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional appearance that enhances the firm’s reputation. The incumbent must provide excellent customer service to applicants, vendors and agencies and all other stakeholders. The incumbent must be able to maintain accurate records and be detailed oriented. It is preferred that the incumbent have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to interact with various types of internal and external applicants and agencies in a high stress environment. Overtime and weekend hours will be required.
Per contract requirements with vehicle insurance provider: Qualified candidates must be 21 years of age and have no major traffic violations for previous 3 years (for driving/insurance purposes).
Incumbent will be required to comprehend and have a working knowledge of applications received via the following: Leap application form, digital, PEAK, and telephonic applications. LEAP program experience is preferred, but not required.
