Goodwill TalentBridge along with our client, is currently recruiting for an IT Help Desk technician to work in the Des Plaines, IL area.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Provide technical support to all faculty, staff and students in the use of Microsoft Windows-compatible and/or Macintosh computers.
- Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot audio visual, instructional media and related computer and networking equipment.
- Respond to inquiries, problems and complaints from faculty, staff, students and others regarding technology facilities, services and resources.
- Assist help desk telephone, evaluate all problems, provide direct solution or route call to the appropriate IT functional area.
- Document and track all solution processes through computer aided tools.
- Exercise discretion in the application and handling of confidential materials and passwords.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- A high level of interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deliver services in an environment where there is an emphasis on customer service are required.
- One year experience in a computer support environment is required, two years preferred.
- Relevant certifications are desired.
- Required Education: Associates or Military Experience with relevant certificates in technology or High School graduate with 2 years technology support experience.
Physical Demands
Work requires some lifting of items weighing up to 15 pounds, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and use of ladders.
SCHEDULE
Hours 8:15 - 5:00 M-F This is not eligible for a remote of hybrid work schedule.

Salary: $20.00 - $22.00/hr
