What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Visitor position at Goodwin Community Health?
As Home Visitor, you will support effective home-based, family-centered services offered by Families First Health & Support Center. The Home Visitor provides these services families in compliance with Families First policies and state contracts. The Home Visitor will support programming serving expectant women and families with children up to the age of 21. The Home Visitor is responsible for providing parenting, child development, health, and safety information to families to increase protective factors which reduce the risks for child abuse and neglect. The Home Visitor will help families develop Individualized Family Support Plans, document activities for billing and case records. The Home Visitor will coordinate service with Families First staff, other social service and medical practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, human services, early childhood education, or related field required
- Minimum two years’ experience working with families and children in a social service, home health, or early childhood program setting
- Experience in taking strength-based approaches when engaging with families; case management; and family support principles
- Knowledge of confidentiality, boundaries, and ethical practices
- Strong computer skills
