Overview

goPuff is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Territory Growth team and play a crucial role in the expansion of the brand domestically and internationally. The Planning Manager's role will support the launch of new goPuff markets by working in tandem with the real estate, permit, and construction departments. This position will align with various teams to understand and execute the design of the spaces while ensuring the process secures all local/state/federal building applications. 


Responsibilities

  • Monitors the design/planning process from conceptual phase through construction completion.
  • Skills in managing a team of in-house CAD operators to deliver the planning needs of the business.
  • Assists in the production and coordination of construction documents for projects that are completed in house. 
  • Align with the internal architectural permit coordinator to effectively communicate to the business and external architects/permit consultants
  • Align with multiple internal business leads to develop prototype plans for existing and new markets. Communicate to Architects and ensure the plans are in compliance on a continued basis.
  • Participate in project kick off meetings, scope of work debriefings.
  • Establish & Maintain partnerships with Architectural Firms across the country and Canada.
  • Be in lock step with the real estate team to capture new locations/markets the site specific architectural and building code requirements for each location/market and implement within the planning process which will promote accurate facility opening projections.
  • Understands, assists in definition and works within the confines of the project budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design required.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience in a retail roll-out program is preferred.
  • 3-5+ years working knowledge of Auto Desk AutoCAD preferable.
  • Ability to be creative and think out of the box.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Team Management Experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.
  • Skill in the use of scheduling and budgeting software.
  • Knowledge of and interpretation of National Building codes.
