What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Coordinator/Accounting Assistant position at Gordley Design Group?
As a first point of contact for Gordley Group to our clients, vendors and visitors you become our representative and portray our group’s guiding principles of Respect, Enthusiasm, Integrity, Quality and
Teamwork. This is a full-time, in-the-office, non-exempt, hourly position. It is not a remote position.
Office and Administrative Functions include:
Open office at 8:00 am and close at 5:00 pm, answer and direct phone calls, provide clerical support to all departments, as needed, monitor Gordley calendar/office scheduling, general database entries and updates as needed, fax/mail/e-mail correspondence as needed, research as requested by management, coordinating building maintenance: window cleaning, handyman issues, heating and cooling, plumber, recycle, shredding, etc.
Accounting Functions:
Account payables, receivables, miscellaneous administrative & accounting to assist Accounting Director
Preferred Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Some college education preferred
- Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and knowledge of accounting software
- Experience with accounts payable including input and resolution of disputes with vendors
- English usage and grammar consistent with company standards
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Possess the mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment
- Strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds
- Have the vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
- Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone
- Carry car insurance for Gordley errands
- Self-motivated, self-starter and results oriented

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
