Gordon-Conwell is a multidenominational, protestant graduate school, unique with its broad array of over 1,300 students and 200 faculty and staff from 78 denominations and over 50 countries. We offer a residential model of education at South Hamilton, MA (our main campus); an urban context in Boston, MA; adult educational models in both our Charlotte, NC campus and our offerings in Jacksonville, FL; in addition to online and cohort models involving students from around the world.

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Processing Manager serves as a “player-coach,” processing applicants and setting the tone for efficiency and best practices among the Admissions processors. They oversee the development of, compliance with, and support of Admissions people, processes, and platforms necessary to ensure prospective students move successfully through the application process. The Admissions Processing Manager is the primary point person for student information system reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- People: Admissions Processing Team Leadership (25%)
o Supervise day-to-day functions of the Charlotte-based processing team including managing application delegation in coordination with the rest of the Processing team, leading weekly office meetings, ensuring office coverage, setting master calendar of application dates & deadlines.
o Provide ongoing training for all admissions representatives—empowering them to serve effectively to advise students through the application process. The Admissions Processing Manager will develop best practices for Processors to maximize time and create efficiency.
- Process: Application Processing (50%)
o Manage applicants through application process (“processing”) in SONIS (student information system).
o Monitor team progress and ensure applications are completed and processed in a timely fashion
o With the Director of Admissions, develop annual processing plans which detail the efforts to be taken to achieve each year’s student matriculation goals. The strategic processing plan is not limited to, but should include management of admissions policies and procedures and CRM Workflows for initiated & completed applicants
- Platforms: Manage Key Platforms and Reporting (25%)
o Oversee admissions data entry and maintenance practices to ensure data integrity and to leverage systems for prospect development, relationship management, reporting, and analysis. Find ways to leverage system capabilities and IT staff’s ingenuity to better support all aspects of recruitment and admissions. This individual manages the primary responsibility over the seminary’s application portal and its proper communication with the seminary’s Student Information System.
o Provide timely reporting to the Director of Admissions. Generate regular and ad hoc reports for seminary leadership. Use historic data and predictive modeling to execute data-driven decisions to achieve application processing goals.

Perform other duties as necessary, including support at occasional on-campus events.

- Knowledge and Discernment: Understanding of the academic, personal and spiritual capabilities required for theological training. Able to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality according to FERPA.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency with student information systems, managing CRM, and Microsoft tools; plus an aptitude to learn and use other applications that facilitate organizational efficiency.
- Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with or willingness to learn admissions standards, available institutional resources and programs, processes and regulations in the admissions and matriculation process, applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures within scope of role, seminary programs of study, services, and resources, and student recruitment and retention issues.

Clear understanding of the Seminary’s mission and willingness to affirm the Community Life Statement of GCTS.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in higher education enrollment management (preferably in admissions), or relevant customer service experience required.

Successful supervisory experience managing teams and recruitment process required.
