What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst Full Time - Temporary position at Gordon Food Service?
The Financial Analyst applies accounting principles to compile financial information, maintain general ledger, track inventory (raw material and finished goods), and prepares financial reports.
Essential functions of the role:

Prepares weekly reporting to summarize current and projected company financial position to include but is not limited to; gross margin analysis, labor variance reporting, yield reporting, expense analysis and management of the trial balance.

Identifies trends and makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.

Analyzes data and develops reporting for management use as appropriate.

Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.

Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate books, journals and other literature.

Ability to manage time effectively and compile information in a timely fashion.

Review sales and margin KPIs and provide insights to sales leadership

Support sales and business leadership with customer profitability insights and value-add analysis.

Support operational and business leadership with operational efficiency insights and value-add analysis.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related (required)

One to three years previous accounting experience with an understanding of cost accounting, internal controls and a level of understanding of information technology or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
