Job Summary:
As the Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing troubleshooting, problem solving, preventative maintenance, service, and repair of automation systems with an eagerness for learning new things, and ultimately an attitude towards delivering world class products that our customers love. The influence you will have on customer satisfaction and product success is immense. It is a requirement that you actively collaborate as a part of a fast-paced multidisciplinary team with expertise, passion, and respect always.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Show compassion and be empathetic to customers’ needs while still maintaining Gosiger’s bottom line
- Provide actionable feedback on system reliability in the field and installation challenges
- Create service reports where non exist and make certain that copies are in the appropriate location
- Safely perform high quality, efficient, and thorough repairs/preventative maintenance to systems as assigned
- Train and instruct customers and team members on proper installation and service/repair procedures
- Effectively communicate with our customers including notification of arrival, progress updates, and checking out upon leaving
- Occasionally assist, support, and/or perform other job functions within the department or other work areas based on ability
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Exceptional capability in the troubleshooting and repair of industrial automation or similar complex equipment
- The ability to react as a professional in adverse conditions & conflict regarding scheduling and customer complaints is a must
- A valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and the ability to “legally” operate a company, rental, or personal vehicle for company business. (You may be required to drive your personal vehicle for business if a company vehicle is not assigned)
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and evening hours as required by customer
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a passport and travel in support of training, out-of-state or out-of-country customers
- Ability to obtain a major credit card based on your own credit history for business expenses and occasional travel requirements
Working Conditions:
- Extensive use of computer workstations and phones programming, documentation/record keeping
- Continuous bending, stooping, standing, climbing, step stool climbing, lifting/carrying up to 50lbs by yourself, pushing and pulling
- Frequently in a manufacturing environment at corporate or customer facilities
- Exposure to partially assembled or prototype equipment
Salary : $43,200 - $54,700
