SUMMARY:
The Marketing & Development Manager works with the Senior Director of Operations to execute the marketing and communications goals of the organization. The most successful candidate will be expert at communicating Gosnold’s impact to a wide variety of audiences via written word (website, social media, and print collateral) as well as being highly efficient in managing our database. The Marketing & Development Manager must possess two key strengths - exceptional graphic design/communication skills and superb attention to detail. The Marketing & Development Manager also leads all initiatives related to Alumni Relations (a key component of Gosnold’s Marketing and Development Department).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Management
- Provides administrative support and project management for Marketing, Prevention and Development Initiatives.
- Works in conjunction with Marketing & Development team to maintain department calendar.
- Keeps timely and accurate expense and other financial documents.
- Helps to sustain donor databases and donation platforms in good working order.
- Maintains accurate directory of usernames and passwords related to marketing and related subscriptions etc. Reports updates monthly.
- Engages academic partners to promote internship opportunities in Gosnold’s Marketing Department.
- Implements and maintains process related to design and printing needs for the organization.
Outreach and Events
- Creates and distributes all fundraising and marketing materials (newsletters, rack cards, posters, etc.).
- Organizes community, donor and alumni events in coordination with the team.
Marketing and Communications
- Ensures the brand identity of Gosnold is presented consistently in all communications, proofing, and editing materials. Assists with the continual development of the Gosnold brand.
- Designs and collaborates on digital and print assets including marketing materials (brochures, ads, event signage, and rack cards) as well as agency publications and promotional items.
- Formulates content for key agency outputs including newsletters, letters, direct mail pieces, annual reports, videos, and more.
- Designs and executse multi-media presentations to support Outreach, Fundraising, and Operational goals.
- Maintains active elements of Gosnold’s website and social media presence. Establishes and implements processes for daily communication management across all platforms, engages with the community online, and responds to reviews, with CEO approval. Monitors and reports on website and social media analytics at regular intervals.
- Maintains accuracy of donor and alumni constituent records in Bloomerang database.
- Maintains all social media channels for the Organization.
- Implements and maintains processes for analyzing data and metrics as theypertain to marketing and other organizational efforts.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
UNUSUAL WORK CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to flexibly modify schedule to accommodate needs that pertain to Gosnold Events.
- Periodic travel required.
- Must be comfortable with agency clientele and Alumni and demonstrate a willingness to learn about behavioral health and substance use disorders.
- Must serve as accountable, responsible, and reputable proxy for Gosnold organization and mission at Gosnold events.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job.
- Education: Associates degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design and/or related field required. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in Fundraising, Project Management, and Marketing. Previous experience being part of a collaborative team.
- Skills: Strong Proficiency in the following programs: MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop a must), Constant Contact or other email software, CRM and database management preferred but not required, and iMovie or similar technology.
- Position requires demonstrated skills in project management, organization attention to critical detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Copywriting and editing skills.
- Good eye for design and ability to creatively problem solve.
- Ability to prioritize and simultaneously coordinate many projects and multiple people in an efficient and calm manner.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid clean Driver’s License required.
