About the Role
Gostrider builds and scales beauty brands for the next generation of music artists. We leverage incredibly passionate fans and artists to create prestige beauty products sold through eCommerce channels.
We’re a startup, but our team is made up of operators with 40 collective years of experience. We’re looking for thinkers, dreamers, and operators of all backgrounds and experiences to add to our diverse team.
The Supply Chain Manager will be a self-motivated and results-driven professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will ensure that products are available in the right quantity and timing to support customer demand while meeting inventory targets.
A strong creative sensibility and a genuine interest in music artists are a plus. The ideal candidate will have full lifecycle experience from scoping through delivery and can confidently navigate and prioritize business needs, resource management, schedules, and project finances to successfully deliver excellent work.
What You’ll Do
- Develop SCM strategy to align supply/demand planning across multiple channels and product lines:
- Identify and implement ideas for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional new item launch meetings to collaborate and review revised timelines regarding new product launches.
- Evaluate reformulations and update production standards.
- Coordinate distribution of approved formulation standards to Marketing,
Packaging, and Creative.
- Write new product options profiles.
- Ensure product sheets from outside suppliers are obtained.
- Provide key product information to Marketing and eComm Manager, including product profiles, product usage statements, and product formulation descriptions.
- Procure samples of formulations and components.
- Create product sample evaluation surveys and communicate results to suppliers.
- Communicate product concepts and shade direction to appropriate laboratories.
- Review and re-direct product submissions until desired attributes and performance is achieved.
- Implement the S&OP cycle and adjust inventory targets accordingly:
- Utilize various management control techniques to successfully monitor and analyze ongoing activities, changes in actuals vs. forecasts data, and revisions to safety stock strategies based on historical sales and seasonality curves.
- Select product shade targets and review direction with the team.
- Develop and present monthly reporting of KPIs regarding supplier performance, recommending changes to sourcing strategies when needed, SCM reports, and ad hoc analysis to appropriate management/teams:
- Track key trends, the competitive environment, and participate in brainstorming meetings for new product concepts.
- Purchase and evaluate competitive products, prepare written assessments, and participate in presenting data.
- Prepare quarterly forecasts for all external suppliers.
- Responsible for the Purchase Order lifecycle:
- Create, issue, manage, and track POs with suppliers.
- Negotiate timelines for delivery and purchase price depending on large volume buys or less than MOQ purchases.
- Approve additional costs regarding incremental less than container load or handling charges.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding quality defects to obtain credit for goods and freight.
- Continually monitor production schedules to contract manufacturers and follow up to ensure completion by the requested date.

- Be located in the New York City / New Jersey area and willing to work a hybrid at-home/at-office schedule for a total of 3 days a week to full-time options available.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
