Job Description
Job Title: Commercial Finance Analyst (Choice Tribe - Supply Chain & logistics)
Team: Commercial Finance
Reports To: Senior Finance Manager
Overview:
This role will business partner with the Choice Tribe, specifically supporting the Supply Chain and Logistics functions. This role will partner with both the core functions and the tech domains across Gousto. This is a really exciting opportunity where you will have the chance to have a direct impact on the P&L performance of Gousto whilst splitting your time between ‘business as usual’ work as well as a variety of projects and ad-hoc analysis.
What you’ll do:
- Business partnering with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage their budgets effectively.
- Weekly and monthly reporting of actual and forecast budget performance for supply chain and logistics costs (refunds, waste, customer delivery, frozen storage, intersite transport).
- Owning the month end, monthly re-forecast and annual budget process for supply chain and logistics cost lines, ensuring accurate recognition and reporting of financials.
- Supporting business partners to ensure that stock ordering and management processes are robust and enable the business to manage cash flow.
- Gain an understanding of the value of the order and SKU level forecasts, and the impact of forecast accuracy on supply chain costs, menu costs and the customer experience.
- Be the subject matter expert for network waste, collaborating with the supply chain team to better root cause the drivers of waste and take action to reduce this cost.
- Understand and surface the impact the Supply Chain has on customer experience and opportunities to improve this.
- Supporting the Choice Tribe domains (including Tech squads) to meet their Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) through regular performance tracking and reporting, and translation of KPIs into financial impact.
- Evaluating the Choice Tribe financial impact of different propositions and strategies, supporting the business to make strategic decisions and prioritisation calls.
- Support with ad-hoc analysis requests, including estimating “size of the prize” for early stage ideas, converting KPI movement to financial impact, monitoring the impact of tests/trials.
Who you are
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part-qualified
- Successful, proven experience in relevant, similar finance roles
- Strong Excel and/or G suite skills, including financial modelling
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset, which supports you in prioritising your work, as well as prioritising what’s right for our customers
- Excellent communicator, with the ability to succinctly summarise complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner for stakeholders of any level/function
- Curious and proactive. We seek to understand problems deeply and are proactive and fact in anticipating future needs (business and customers).
