Skills and Abilities Required:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and the general public.
- Possess a valid level guard card/license, as required by the state for which you are applying.
- Completion of a Bike Safety course may be required for some positions.
- Successfully pass a background investigation and drug screen by federal, state, and local laws.
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
- Ability to handle crises at the client site calmly and efficiently.
- Remain flexible in ever-changing environments and adapt well to different situations.
- Work in various environments, including cold weather, rain/snow, or heat.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
- Stand, bike, or walk on various surfaces for extended periods.
- Possess an active State Security License.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
- Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot, bicycle, or vehicle.
- As a Security Professional, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment by observing and reporting any suspicious activities and incidents on the property
- Your primary duty will be to observe and report incidents such as loitering, vandalism, trespassing, and panhandling to the appropriate authorities
- You will also be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the property, its occupants, and assets
- Monitor the property to identify any suspicious activities or individuals
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security threats
- Communicate effectively with the property management and authorities regarding any incidents that require their attention
- Respond to emergencies and aid as needed
- Maintain accurate records and reports of incidents and activities
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Climb stairs and ladders
- Operate security equipment such as radios and surveillance cameras
