Key Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking Facility Security Officers. The ideal candidates should be self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of effectively managing multiple tasks. As the Facility Security Officer (FSO).
Manage the day-to-day operations of facilities ensuring compliance and developing a security program that supports business objectives, including:
- Overseeing the Personnel Security program and managing the security clearance process for employees through DISS and other customer databases.
- Maintaining the facility clearance status through NISS.
- Overseeing the processing of new employee security clearances within government systems of record DISS.
- Managing the Physical Security program and maintaining document control accountability.
- Implementing a security education training and awareness program, including indoctrinations, annual refresher training, debriefings, and program-specific training.
- Administering foreign pre/post travel briefings as per government requirements.
- Managing inquiries or investigations, preparing incident reports, and implementing mitigation requirements as necessary.
- Updating all security management systems with personnel actions taken.
- Coordinating security activities for classified contracts by company policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Establishing and maintaining liaison with government agencies, external customers, employees, and managers.
- Providing day-to-day program, operational, and administrative security support to PMO, government, and program personnel.
- Developing, reviewing, and maintaining Program Protection Plans, Security Classification Guides, and Policy documents.
- Providing classification management support and reviews.
- Attending and supporting program team meetings, offering program guidance, decisions, policies, and procedures. Interpreting policies and developing/implementing appropriate security plans and procedures.
- Submitting FCL Sponsorship packages in NISS.
- Verifying security clearance status for visitors, potential new employees, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Responding to investigator requests for information on current/former employees.
- Ensuring compliance with government assessments and inspections.
- Ensuring the proper preparation and review of draft/original/revised DD254s.
- Tracking contract status and providing updates to the Security Director.
- Leading self-inspections and DCSA Vulnerability Assessments of programs.
- Performing other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent security experience, including 5 years of security office administration and facility security experience.
- Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3 years of experience using government security regulations, manuals, and processes, including the NISPOM, NISPOM Supplement, DCSA security manuals, and OPSEC principles in a mid-to-large Federal Contractor.
- Experience in an MFO applying and working with Department of Defense policies and the National Industrial Security
- Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
- Current DCSA Facility Security Officer Certification from CDSE.
- Active TS security clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI access.
- Previous SCI security experience with SCI eligibility.
- Previous experience with SIMS.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of effectively managing multiple tasks.
