We are actively seeking passionate and dedicated future or current Fire Rescue Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, and Paramedics. As a Fire Rescue Officer in Florida, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding lives, property, and the environment. Join us in making a significant impact and preserving the safety and well-being of our fellow Floridians.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and perform firefighting, rescue, and medical assistance duties in accordance with established protocols.
  • Effectively operate firefighting and rescue equipment, including hoses, ladders, power tools, and vehicles.
  • Perform hazardous materials response and containment, including assessing and mitigating chemical, biological, radiological, and explosive hazards.
  • Conduct fire inspections, identify and correct fire code violations, and educate the public on fire safety measures.
  • Maintain physical fitness and readiness for strenuous firefighting and rescue activities.
  • Provide immediate medical care, including first aid, CPR, and advanced life support, to injured or ill individuals.
  • Collaborate with other emergency response agencies and personnel to ensure effective coordination during incidents and emergencies.
  • Participate in training programs, drills, and exercises to enhance skills and maintain proficiency.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and safety guidelines while demonstrating professionalism and integrity in all actions.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a college degree).
  • Successful completion of a certified firefighting, EMT, or paramedic training program in the state of Florida.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent physical fitness and the ability to pass the physical fitness tests mandated by Florida fire rescue agencies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact compassionately and effectively with individuals in distress.
  • Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and a commitment to upholding the principles of public safety.
  • Capability to remain calm, composed, and make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency in operating fire rescue and medical equipment and utilizing technology effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as demanded by the dynamic nature of fire rescue work.
  • U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Fire Rescue Officer, Firefighter, EMT, or Paramedic, ideally within the state of Florida.
  • Additional certifications or specialized training in areas such as hazardous materials response, technical rescue, or incident command.
