Software Developer

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Internet company in South Beach with an exciting work environment and relaxed atmosphere seeks a skilled Software Developer to help with the development of our current projects. This is a remote position. The Company pays 100% of the employee’s medical, dental and vision benefits, matches 401(k) contributions, among other benefits. Overtime is minimal to none.

Responsible for the design and implementation of a variety of software solutions by performing the following duties:

· Responsible for planning, processing and performing all jobs in an efficient manner with no assistance from the supervisor

· Working closely with upper management by providing recommendations and concerning issues of programmer productivity and software development management

· Design and develop programming systems making specific determinations about system performance

· Design, develop, maintain, and optimize secure and scalable multi-tier web applications

· Researching, designing, and writing new software programs

· Testing new programs and fault finding

· Responsible for reading, understanding, and utilizing all part and assembly prints, forms, spreadsheets, bills of material, specification sheets, and technical references

· Developing existing programs by analyzing and identifying areas for modification

· Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle

· Integrating existing software products and getting incompatible platforms to work together

· Investigating new technologies

· Creating technical specifications and test plans

· Ability to create scalable and reusable components

· Working with computer coding languages

· Maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting software defects

· Working closely with other staff, such as project managers, graphic artists, designers, developers, systems analysts, and sales and marketing professionals

· Continually updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses reading manuals and accessing new applications

· Protects operations by keeping information confidential

· Obtains and licenses software by obtaining required information from vendors recommending purchases, testing and approving products

· Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code

· Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed

· Other duties as assigned

MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH ADULT CONTENT WEBSITES

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

· 5 years’ experience with general programming and web development

Skills and Specifications:

· Expert level knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript

· Experience with React, React Native, JQuery

· Experience in working with large codebases and high traffic sites

· Experience with git

· Knowledge of accessibility best practices

· Knowledge of front-end optimization best practices

· Experience writing automated tests

· Minimum of entry level knowledge of PHP

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) pay attention to detail, ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment

· Good knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles and formulas

· A versatile attitude with ability to work in a small team

· Ability to “think outside the box”

Pay: $70,381.00 - $130,000.00 per year
