What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at GPac?

As an accountant your responsibilities include
- preparing, reviewing, and distributing billings to customers,
- recording customer payments, and corresponding with aging accounts receivable.
- identify slow-paying customers and potential lien candidates, as well as research any discrepancies that may arise.
- serve as the back-up for the payroll administrator. This will require you to set up and update employee information, import time from the custom time entry system, and analyze and adjust data accordingly.
- be in charge of certified payroll reporting, and assisting with audits.
As a back-up for the accounts payable administrator, your duties will include:
- analyzing and processing vendor invoices for payment, reconciling vendor statements, and investigating any discrepancies.
- responsible for maintaining accurate sales tax rates and handling all vendor correspondence.
In addition to your specific responsibilities,
- assist the Controller in various financial tasks and receive training in multiple facets of the company's financial activities.
It is crucial for an accountant to possess integrity and maintain confidentiality in handling financial information. You should also be able to work well with other team members and possess self-motivation and strong time management skills. Your analytical and problem-solving abilities will also be put to use in various tasks, and your willingness to take on additional duties will be appreciated.
