What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ag Loan Officer position at gpac?
The primary function of the Ag Lender is to expand and develop Agricultural banking relationships by identifying opportunities and matching those opportunities with products and services across all business lines of the bank. This position requires strong analytical skills along with a proven ability to work well as part of a team.
Responsibilities of Ag Lender
- Originate Ag loans as authorized by bank policies and procedures.
- Develop new business relationships with Agricultural customers
- Analyze applicant's financial status credit to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Ensure applicable lending policies and procedures are followed.
- Work to maintain asset quality and collections.
- Promote bank services that meet customer needs.
- Participate in business development activities.
Qualifications of Ag Lender
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related degree
- 3 years of agriculturall lending or related experience required. Proficient in credit analysis
- Knowledge of all bank products and services.
- Strong sales, communication, planning skills.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
