POSITION SUMMARY
Professional, self-motivated project management team member with exceptional leadership and critical thinking skills. Must be a team leader with the capability to establish rapport and communication links quickly with all project team members who represent a variety of functional organizations. The Assistant Project Manager will support the project team, follow the project process, enforce the project vision, goals and objectives, assure communication and accountability with the project team, support the day-to-day client relationships specific to the project and ensure the execution of all deliverables. Project @types may include new development, renovation and reposition of existing assets, acquisition and rehab of new assets, preparation of an asset for disposition and other scopes of work as directed. This position reports directly to the Director of Project Management as well as one or more Project Managers. This position is based in the Company's corporate office located in Valdosta, Georgia. Some travel is required for this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)

Must be self motivated, focused, and have the desire to work with minimal supervision.

Follow any approved Project Execution Plan, supporting the individual roles, objectives, and expectations for all team member.

Coordinate with all project team members and ensure accurate and effective communication with all appropriate parties, internal and external.

Monitor and enforce project control mechanisms with key milestones and performance indicators to ensure proper completion of each project within the allotted time frames and within budgets.

Monitor the progress of the work against the contract documents and company expectations, identify any discrepancies and work to resolve. Document all approved changes through approved forms/format.

Participate in on site OAC project reviews and site inspections to ensure the proper preparation has been done to initiate construction and that each phase continues on schedule.

Dedicate long hours as required when projects are prevalent and the demands are high.

Trouble-shoot any problems that may occur with a project and ensure that viable solutions are initiated and completed.

Develop and maintain the necessary contacts with the pertinent realm of attorneys, bankers, real-estate agents, engineers, other architects and officials in order to promote a positive working relationship with and between all professionals involved.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a 4-year college or technical school. Preferably with focus in Construction Management, Design or a related field. Must demonstrate literacy in the English language including reading.
Experience: Two or more years of related experience and/or training or job related experience.
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Issued Drivers License.
