Chief Estimator
A long-established leader in the construction industry is looking for a Chief Estimator to join their Detroit area team. Project sectors include diverse commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial. This will be an executive-level position and a key player within the company. They are willing to relocate someone who is willing to be part of the greater vision of the company as they continue to grow.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the overall estimate completeness/accuracy and control of the project budget.
- Conceptual and hard-bid estimating, quantity take-offs, material and subcontractor pricing to assist with owner/architect collaboration
- Approve project proposals/bid packages prior to presentation
- Provide leadership and oversight of work with clients in the pursuit of new projects and conceptually prepare rough budgets for repeat clients
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a General Contractor
- Experience on diverse commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial projects
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
- Experience in Conceptual, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction document budgets and estimates
