What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Estimator position at gpac?
A leading Civil Contractor is looking for an Estimator who can prepare bids for large civil construction projects. Applicable project experience for this Estimator could include a work history of highways, bridges, sitework, paving, marine, rail, dams, etc. This is a great opportunity for an Estimator to develop into their own role and reach the career goals they've always had. Qualifications:
- 3 years of strong heavy civil construction experience
- Stable work history
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus
- Projects of $10MM or more desirable Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review project plans, requirements and specifications
- Develop multi-disciplinary estimates
- Determine labor and equipment costs
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
- Understand project logistics and project schedule
