CNC Machinist/Programmer
We are looking for a CNC Machinist/Programmer who will oversee the daily production and operations of their tasks. This includes production planning, tool selection, knowledge of job costing, and expense control. This position is responsible for working in a manner that produces timely and efficient output to meet customer demands. Efficiency through CNC programming, on time delivery, and quality output are very significant drivers for this position. The successful candidate must have the ability to program off-line, and trouble shoot machining and other operations to provide support for each of the processes employed by the machining departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the monitoring and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Production, ensuring prompt and on time delivery of quality parts in the most efficient and safest manner on an ongoing basis.
- Standardization of procedures to improve efficiency of area.
- Analyze needs and make business case recommendations for expanding machining department capabilities. Recommend new equipment and new opportunities
- Performing off-line CNC programming when necessary.
- Over-see the maintenance of equipment as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with CNC Operating (programming is a plus)
- Strong ability to perform off-line programming using software such as GibbsCam.
- Ability to interpret blueprints with geometric tolerance, and possess strong math skills
- Detailed knowledge of machine shop operations including manual machines as well as CNC machines along with general manufacturing equipment (hones, saws, grinders, etc.).
- This job requires movement around the facility a large portion of the day while also being able to sit at a desk creating and interpreting programs and reports.
- This role is also required to be able to evaluate and inspect parts at a relatively close range with the ability to observe very small details.
