What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller - Accountant position at Gpac?
FAMILY-OWNED BUSINESS HAS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR AN IN-HOUSE CONTROLLER!
The qualified candidate must have an advanced understanding of related technology and how to apply it to real world situations.
An understanding of Excel and an ability to create and maintain excel spreadsheets and workbooks is a must.
Accuracy and reliable attendance are required.
Areas of responsibility, include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and update general Journal via QuickBooks.
- Monthly financial statement preparation.
- Bank & credit card account reconciliations.
- Weekly driver per diem reconciliations/verifications.
- Weekly in-house payroll processing.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable activity.
- Administration of company retirement plans.
- Government and governmental agency compliance reporting – payroll and others as required.
- Follow and company with government laws and regulations.
- Take on special projects as needed.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree in accounting with an appropriate level of real-world experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications.
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
