What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Manager position at Gpac?
We are partnered with a well-established OEM manufacturer that is experiencing substantial growth. Due to this growth they are seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team.
Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the Engineering team to meet successful meet customer deadlines
- Take new product ideas and product support projects from concept to production by managing engineering project activities and priorities while coordinating with sales, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality.
- Use engineering principles, proprietary design tools, and internal design criteria to develop new product concepts or enhanced features for existing products
- Create 3-D models, assemblies, and 2-D prints as needed to validate concepts, detail designs, and communicate design intent.
- Specify and supervise product validation testing required to validate new concepts and designs including documenting test results of standardized tests.
Engineering Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline
- 5 years’ experience working with mechanical systems
- Management experience with 2 direct reports
- Experience with CAD systems, preferably Solid Works
- Preferred experience with basic manufacturing technologies and processes
- Familiar with engineering standards and work processes
