What are the responsibilities and job description for the Escrow Officer- Post closing position at gpac?
A Title Company in Downtown Austin, that has been in business with high-profile clientele for 36 years, is looking for its next Escrow Officer.
The employee in this position is primarily responsible for the establishment and maintenance of all post-closing escrow accounts.
Essential Duties
- Review all Escrow Agreements for commercial closings. Create redline and clean copies with required changes and provide them to appropriate parties
- Draft and prepare any residential escrows that are required for closings
- Manage disbursement requests and termination dates for active escrows
- Review lien and lien releases
- Review bond forms
- Receive subpoenas
Other Duties
- Receive any potential claims and compile documents relative to the issue and send them to Underwriting Claims Counsel
- Oversee all downdate endorsement requests
- Review documents for issuance of T-38 Modification Endorsements
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TDI Escrow Officer License
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to have in-person conversations to explain detailed processes, issues, and forms to clients.
- Positive work ethic
Preferred
4 years of recent experience working as an Escrow Officer/Closer for a title company
