What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at GPac?

Position Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation
- Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs
- Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to safely meet budget and timeline
- Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
- Create schedules for site workers and subcontractors
- Hire, train, manage and assign worksite labor accordingly
- Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary
- Make changes in the operation as necessary to meet construction deadlines safely
- Implement management techniques that drive safety, cost-effectiveness, and efficiencies Experience: Civil Grading and Underground Utilities/ Site Construction and Supervision
- Prepare accurate estimates for paving and asphalt projects.
- Gather and analyze data to determine project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Review blueprints, plans, and other project documents to identify potential issues or cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide expert guidance on project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
Position Essential Job Functions:
Utilize construction software and tools to create detailed estimates.- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and cost factors.
- Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address questions and concerns.
- Keep accurate records of estimation data and update project documentation as needed.
Pay: Based on experience
Skills:
Ability to read Civil Drawings, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft project, Excel, Bid2win and, a knowledge of efficiently moving dirt, and production of underground history. Other Knowledge: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history. Any other credentials, please specify in resume.
