Job Description :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Materials Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the quantities and costs of materials required for construction projects, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
As a Materials Estimator , you will play a key role in the planning and execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine material requirements as a Materials Estimator .
- Prepare detailed and accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to understand project scope and requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Maintain and update material cost databases and records.
- Provide support in the preparation of bids and proposals.
- Monitor project budgets and track material costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternatives.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in material estimating within the construction or building materials industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience as a Materials Estimator .
