Feedlot Manager Description:
A medium-sized and respected cattle feeding operation is in need of the right individual for a Feedot Manager role. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a 20k head feedlot, overseeing 15 employees, and is familiar with both the outside operations and office responsibilities aspect of the job. They are looking for someone who is capable of establishing a a culture of expectations and accountability among the team.
The company is offering very industry competitive wages, benefits (health, dental, vision), HSA (health savings account), performance bonuses, work vehicle, phone allowance, portion of beef, and possible housing. Also, providing a regular schedule of M-F and every other weekend.
Feedlot Manager Responsibilities:
- Handle a combination of hands-on yard work and office duties
- Scheduling and daily/weekly planning
- Communicate with the Assistant Manager and Department Managers
- General oversight of day-to-day operations and company goals
Feedlot Manager Requirements:
- Prior management experience in a medium-sized feedlot
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to motivate and hold staff accountable
- Effective communicator
- Ability to lead by example
