My client, a rapidly growing Real Estate investment company, is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budgets and forecasting preparation, risk management, as well as the development of internal control policies. Responsibilities:
- Manage all finance and accounting operations including A/R, A/P, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue.
- Prepare timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of budgets, financial forecasting, and variance reports.
- Month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and government reporting requirements.
- Prepare requirements and tax filings.
- Develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Additional controller duties as necessary.
Requirements:
- 5 years of accounting and finance experience.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller
- Advanced degree in Accounting or related field.
- Commercial Real Estate experience (Preferred)
- CPA (Preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and regulations.
- Experience creating financial statements.
- Experience with month/year-end close process
- Experience with Commercial Real Estate tax filings and regulations
- Proficient with accounting or bookkeeping software.
- Excellent communicator; team oriented with a passion for learning and contributing.
