Key Responsibilities
- Legal Advisory: Provide counsel on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, compliance, and commercial transactions.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company's interests.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and international regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks, develop strategies to mitigate them, manage legal disputes, and collaborate with external counsel as needed.
- Corporate Governance: Advise on matters related to corporate governance, including board and shareholder meetings, and corporate filings, work closely with C-suite.
- Industry Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with departments such as R&D, finance, and operations to provide legal support and achieve business objectives.
- Experience: Attorney with 5-10 years of legal experience, preferably with experience in corporate law. Must have experience in a publicly traded company to be considered.
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensing: Licensed to practice law in Texas
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing or energy industry preferable
- Skills:

- Proven negotiation and contract management experience.
