My name is Shelden, and I am a recruiter int the Telecommunications and Information Technology industries. I am currently partnered with a company who is seeking a qualified individual to fulfill the role of Level 2 Technician and join their team of industry professionals.
They are seeking a seasoned networking and systems professional for both client-facing and behind the scenes work. Level 2 Technician Essential Functions:
- Responsible for execution of Projects & Onboarding
- Responsible for Cloud-based Offerings
- Management of Client Systems and RMM
- Responsible for VMware Infrastructure
- Provide Support for HelpDesk Escalated Issues
- Implement Systems on Client Premises
- Act as a general Engineering Resource
- Document all network changes and implementations
- Perform trending analysis for chronic issue resolution and remediate escalated network issues
Level 2 Technician Competencies:
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
- Extensive knowledge of virtual environments with an emphasis on Vmware, SAN deployment and administration
- Strong grasp of networking
- Meticulous at documenting your work, detail oriented and eager to jump in with the understanding that our clients and their needs come first
- Excellent skill set of experience with Windows Server including Exchange, MDM, Security and other qualifications of a well-designed network run
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Have a car or driver’s license
Level 2 Technician Technical Skills or Knowledge Required:
- Cisco CCNP certification
- Knowledge of Cisco Nexus or NX-OS switches, IOS routers, and ASA firewalls
- Network: BGP, VRF, VLANs
- Setting up network/routing/ISP redundancy, especially for a network with multiple sites
- Storage: SAN, iSCI, NFS
- NetApp FAS Storage
- Experience with complex Cisco WAN Configurations and technology
- Data center experience with VMWare VCP or VCAP certification (VCAP preferred)
- VMware vSphere 5—vSphere HA, DRS, vDS, autodeploy
- Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server 2008/2012
- Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 and 2013
- Microsoft Certified Professional Status (MCSE or MCITP preferred)
- Mac experience
