Role Responsibilities
- Manage asset utilization and drivers to ensure high delivery of customer service and fleet profitability
- Assist, coach, and mentor drivers with training and administrative tasks
- Plan and coordinate freight, driver schedules, and maintenance needs
- Monitor driver performance and address any concerns with support or disciplinary action
- Track drivers and loads to ensure efficient dispatching
- Coordinate backhauls to keep freight moving consistently
- Maintain frequent contact with drivers and monitor any issues or needs
- Handle urgent situations to ensure on-time delivery
- Orient new drivers and assist with unique scheduling needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with office equipment and computer usage
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
