ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of Maintenance Technician:
- Ability to perform minor, routine maintenance.
- Participate in in-house construction projects and tenant buildouts.
- Respond to trouble/complaint maintenance requests throughout the properties when directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Operate and maintain shop and other power equipment.
- Ensure all work orders and maintenance programs are completed in a timely manner.
- Order parts and supplies as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the grounds around the properties, including lawn care, general landscaping, and snow removal.
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with contractors and vendors for property repairs, supplies, and maintenance.
- Good human relation skills demonstrating the ability to deal with tenants, other employees, and supervisors.
- Ability to travel to various properties in and around the area. Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Skills
- Experience as maintenance technician a plus
- Basic understanding of carpentry and and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements
- Must be able to push or pull 100 lbs. and lift and/or carry 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach, climb ladders, crawl, kneel and be low to the ground when necessary, sometimes for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
- Must be able to see, hear, speak, and read.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
