Essential Functions:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of youth who are before the Juvenile Court on a variety of matters: Child Requiring Assistance applications, Delinquency cases, Care and Protection matters, Competency to Stand Trial cases, and emergency mental health and substance use evaluations.
- Communicate with juvenile court personnel, attorneys, schools, community providers, the District Attorney's Office, the Department of Children and Families, and other stakeholders, to gather pertinent information and to provide consultation and coordination of care.
- Complete thorough written reports to be submitted to the Court on behalf of the child and family.
- Provide oral testimony to the Court regarding the findings of certain evaluations.
- Assist families with referrals to behavioral health providers and/or other services as needed.
Qualifications:
- A doctoral degree in psychology from an APA-accredited graduate school program.
- Independently licensed or license-eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Excellent writing skills and experience writing thorough diagnostic evaluations.
- At least two years of experience working with at-risk youth and families.
- Strong diagnostic skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingualism
- An interest in forensic psychology and prior forensic experience
- Knowledge of services available for children and families.
- Strong preference will be given to candidates who are presently enrolled in the statewide CJCC I and II certification program, or are already CJCC I and II certified juvenile court clinician
