RF Technician
A highly respected Telecommunications Companyis seeking a RF Technician to assist in the continued growth of business in the Greater New York City/Long Island territories. Well established company that has been in business for over 63 years, with a solid reputation for customer care and responsiveness.
The RF Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, servicing and maintaining LMR analog, DMR and trunked digital RF systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair LMR analog, DMR and trunked digital RF systems
- Program portable and mobile radios using correct software and cables
- Develop customer specific programming matrix
- Test, analyze, diagnose and repair antenna lines and antennas
- Run RF cabling, antenna lines and CAT 5/6 cabling as needed
- Rack and build RF systems
- Operate spectrum analyzer and use results to diagnose system issues
- Program, maintain and troubleshoot RF transmitters, receivers, and duplexers
- Understand AC/DC voltage and power systems
- Install power supplies, distribution panels, backup power systems and batteries
- Operate service monitor, TIMS set and multimeter to diagnose and repair RF systems
- Install, service and maintain DAS
- Properly install vehicle mounted mobile radios, speakers, handsets and wire for power
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of basic IP networking and digital systems
- Ability to follow a scope of work, rack diagrams, wiring diagrams and system drawings
- Knowledge of RF spectrum and antenna propagation theory
- Strong multi-tasking, time management, and prioritization skills
Strong foundation and understanding of technology

Salary : $55,000 - $75,000
