DIESEL SHOP FOREMAN
Your strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and problem-solving abilities will contribute to the success of the shop and the satisfaction of our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and manage a team of mechanics / technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Allocate work assignments to technicians and ensure that work is performed in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Monitor and review the progress of work orders, ensuring that deadlines are met and any issues or delays are promptly addressed.
- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed repairs to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Assist in recruiting, screening, training, and evaluation of shop employees
- Understand DOT laws amd regi;atopms
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues or problems , providing technical expertise and guidance to technicians
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair projects, ensuring that resources equipment, and materials are available and utilized efficiently
- Maintain and update service records, including work orders, repair logs, and customer information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe and clean working enfironment for both employees and customers
- collaborate with other departments or teams such as parts procurement or customer service, to facilitate smooth workflow and customer satisfaction

- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to finding solutions.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive or mechanical fields is preferred.
- At least 5 years’ experience as a technician or mechanic, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and repair procedures.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, in a shop or service center environment.
- Valid driver's license and Class A CDL
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, compliance standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Certification or licensure in relevant areas, such as Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification, is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of shop equipment and tools, including diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
