What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Development position at Gpac?
My client is looking to add a Vice President of Development to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to work for a world class company along side some of the best in the business!
Primary responsibilities include initial and on-going discussions with contractors, architects, engineers and tenants.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a relevant field such as Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
- 10 years overall experience in commercial real estate development & construction
- Construction process and costing
- Direct and coordinate, value engineer and oversee: contractors, architect and engineers on development projects.
- Working with cities, counties and redevelopment agencies in entitlements for construction/rehabilitation projects
- Knowledge of construction procedures, trade practices, building codes, project scheduling, project cost control, and safety procedures. Experienced in estimating, defining scopes of work and pricing labor and material during the bid process
- Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data; comprehend, model, and analyze development pro-formas and project estimates
- Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
- Three (3) years of supervisor and management experience.
- Must be to work with sensitive and confidential material with discretion and confidentiality.
- Must have a good driving record, valid, driver’s license, vehicle insurance and a reliable vehicle
