GPD is currently seeking a Professional Surveyor in our Akron, OH office location.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Licensure as a Professional Surveyor.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in land surveying.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive information.
- Ability to work in a team environment is essential, as are strong technical, oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in multi-tasking and supporting multiple groups within GPD.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
Day-to-day job responsibilities:
- Research/resolution of existing records for centerlines, parcel boundaries and rights of way for infrastructure projects.
- Work with team to develop mapping for infrastructure projects.
- Creation/Review of survey plats and legal descriptions.
- Preparation of projects for field and office efforts.
- Work with Project Manager to establish scopes, timelines, and deliverables for projects.
- Provide mentoring to less experienced staff.
