Accounting Director
Job Posting for Accounting Director at GPL tax & accounting
Responsibilities:
- Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting and budget preparation
- Key member of the leadership team
- Responsible for department topline revenue – MRR
- Work collaboratively with the tax department to service clients
- Implement and manage processes and systems and train new and current team members
- Ensure strong client retention and high level of satisfaction through timely delivery of services and clear communication
- Improve client acquisition process and onboarding of new clients
- Build relationships with other COI – Center of Influence
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
- Payroll support & reconciliation to financials.
Requirements:
- Experience in building and managing finance departments
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting Big 4- highly preferred
- 5-8 years of experience in private accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with small business. $25M and less in gross revenue
- Experience in Tech, Startups, Professional services, Cannabis, Manufacturing
- Worked in fully cloud- based environment, and cloud accounting
- Federal, state, sales tax, and employment tax knowledge
- Consulting mentality, comfortable in front clients
- Networker and people person
- Ability to work remotely
