What We Need
GPS Insight, an industry-leading fleet tracking and field service management SaaS provider, is looking for a Senior Golang Engineer to take a hands-on role in leading the company's transformation towards a modern, microservice based architecture, as we scale our platform 3-5x and deliver new features that delight our customers. The ideal candidate has significant hands-on experience driving transformation from monolithic architectures to microservices, and additionally has deep experience with event streaming. This candidate is a technical domain expert and catalyst for change with a track record of growing teams' technical skills and understanding.
What Value This Role Will Bring (Why You Want to Join Us)
We operate a SaaS running in AWS which ingests massive amounts of IoT data from vehicle assets and mobile devices, powering several reports, real-time alerts, web interfaces, and mobile applications. We are actively decomposing our PHP monolithic application into a domain-driven service model with a React front-end. We are getting a lot of things right but need more engineering bandwidth to accelerate our technical transformation and refine the shape of our ongoing engineering efforts. If you have an unstoppable drive to build modern, cloud-native software following the latest industry practices, GPS Insight is the place for you.
