Job Requirements:
GQR, a Democratic political polling firm, is seeking a hardworking and motivated Analyst to join our team. Analysts are the primary project managers, working across the organization and with clients to ensure project needs and timelines are met.
Analysts work on all aspects of a project, including coordinating internal needs with operations and programming departments, writing questionnaires and focus group guides, overseeing fielding, and analyzing and presenting findings. At times you will need to assist our junior staff with tasks like proofing data to ensure accuracy. Additionally,
you will serve as back-up point of contact with clients.
As an Analyst at GQR, you will receive mentorship and training to help you grow your skills and network for personal and professional development. We will look to you to be a leader, serving as a mentor on our team, helping to guide and support the growth of our junior staff through direct mentorship and hands-on training.
Hours:
Standard hours in our DC office, Monday – Friday, 9am to 6pm Additional hours and availability as needed
Travel Requirements:
Domestic travel as needed to observe and analyze focus groups
Special Equipment and/or Stipends:
Laptop standard
Personal use cellphone stipend
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
- A minimum of three to five years’ experience with quantitative/qualitative political research, or experience with political campaigns
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge in the design, development, and implementation of qualitative and quantitative research methods
2. Ability to go beyond the numbers and think strategically
3. Strong sense of integrity
4. Hardworking attitude
5. Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills
6. Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
7. Adaptable to changing situations and needs, both internal and external
8. Self-starting; motivated to think critically and develop analytical skills
9. Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff
10. Team-player mentality; ready and willing to pitch in to help your colleagues and our team succeed
11. Knowledge of campaign structures and processes and an understanding of various mediums for campaign communications
