Position Summary
Flex your customer service skills while growing your management experience as our new Assistant Store Manager. You'll join the retail team in our True Value hardware store providing point of sale service and aiding customers in the selection of materials necessary to meet and/or exceed their needs. Located at 14 Beaver Valley Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Store Manager in the running of GR Mitchell's True Value hardware store. This includes coaching other staff members, merchandising the store, managing inventory and assortment, and most importantly providing great customer service.
- Open and/or close the store independently on various days of the week.
- Suggest relevant merchandise to customer and answer their home repair, maintenance, and gardening questions.
- “Check out” customer with merchandise at cash register. Requires use of Windows-based computer.
- Mix paint and make keys as needed.
- Provide merchandise support in store to include: check-in & stocking of merchandise, maintain organization of store, reset displays and make merchandising labels, signs, etc.
- Provide customer service in store to include: loading merchandise in customer vehicle and setting up deliveries.
- Answer incoming calls to help customer and/or direct call to another employee or department.
- May perform other special projects. Training may be needed for the betterment of the team.
- Position includes evening hours (the latest we're open in 7 pm) and rotating weekend hours.
- Ability to drive, stand for long periods of time, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and move heavier objects.
