Grace Health is seeking an organized, outgoing individual to maintain scheduling related operations and will guide patient services staff on best practices. To excel in this role you will need to be a great communicator, both oral and written, who doesn't mind being interrupted while working in a fast-paced environment.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not be all inclusive.)
1. Works with management in development and management of scheduling-related data and statistical reports.
2. Communicates schedule changes to scheduling group.
3. Is available in the neighborhood as a resource to help with scheduling questions or needs.
4. Assists Lead staff in problem solving non-clinical operational issues, including patient schedules/access and daily patient flow as needed.
5. Assists with patient scheduling concerns and coaches Lead Patient Services Assistants and Lead Schedulers in patient relations.
6. Monitors provider productivity report.
7. Performs Patient Services Assistant/Scheduler duties as needed, including the following:
a. Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, helpful manner.
b. Checks in patients, verifies and updates demographic and other information in the medical record.
c. Maintains computer appointment schedule and follows office schedule policies.
d. Answers telephone, screens calls.
e. Screens visitors and responds to routine requests for information.
8. Attends daily huddles.
9. Completes Patient Services Assistant/Scheduler chart audits and provides details to management.
10. Tracks scheduling errors and educates staff as needed.
11. Deletes unused encounters.
12. Participates in interviewing as appropriate.
13. Participates in training of new Patient Services Assistants/Schedulers.
14. Works with Patient Services Managers to lead and develop staff by providing feedback, building skills and knowledge, and developing a high performing team. Identifies educational needs of staff.
Requirements:
- COVID-19 and Flu Vaccine
- High school Diploma or GED. Associates Degree preferred.
- Two-Three years work experienced preferred in healthcare. Prefer 1 year of experience with patient/staff scheduling
